They are racing boats and the names describe the class. Quarter tonners are around 24 ft and Halfs around 30 ft. Obsolete racing classes but boats are still used. As I said not normal beginners boats but usually cheap in relation to size and performance.

There are a couple of Dufour Arpeges around that price and look in good nick, might be a tad small though.
