What fast sports cruiser for around £60k Suggestions and links wanted!

I'm looking at the 33' to 36' range. Suitable for 2 persons but occasionally 3.
Loo, cooker, heating, great spec nav equipment and bow thruster is a must have option!

Something with a bit of zip, bigger engine option!

Seen loads of S34s. Targa 34 just above my max price which is a shame!
Been looking at Doral 330s and Elegante. (great layout for 2 people but not many around).

Dont mind if its a Med based boat but uk is ok.

'theyachtmarket' and 'yachtworld' are good sources if information.

Any suggestions that may be outside these web sites!

My life is in crisis mode as I'm also looking at apartments in Spain instead of boat!

Ahh! Don't know which way to go!!

Zaffiro 34 or Smeraldo 37.

Both great and practical boats provided OE canopy has been replaced.

I am also looking at similar sized boats and price. Zaffiro looks good but how do they compare to the Sealine S34 for sea keeping ability? Smeraldo too much money.
Other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions and PMs they have been quite useful.

We have flights booked for Gran Canaria to look at some apartments. On return, we are off to the Med, boat hunting and to compare boats and apartments in the Costa's.

After we have looked around, I think it will be easier to make a decision what to buy!

37 knots WOT. Cruise all day at 3000RPM 26 Knots 46 litres/hour.

noob question, but can you easily replace those throttle levers with the smaller/rounder ones that tend to come on more recent boats? I've been browsing a lot of older sports cruisers myself and most of them seem to still have those old levers on them, not sure if the owners love them or it's actually difficult to replace them

The smaller rounder levers are for EDC controls. i.e. they are electronic switches rather than directly connected to cables hence the smaller boxes. to get the later control boxes you have to install the electronic throttle components as well.

Of course anything is possible if you throw enough money at it but really it isn't worth it (I think cost is likely to be about £2.5k per engine)
 
There is another version of cable levers that are like what you are on about but they are longer in length than the Edc levers but still have balls on top rather than L shaped handled.
And yes you can change levers.
 
Russ, the answer is better! Much better. Most S34 have smaller engines- KAD 32s. I sea trialed the Cranchi in January and it was a dream!

I used to have a s34 with the kad 32s and found it under powered particularly in a choppy sea. Accommodation below is very good.
 
I sent a year or so on a similar quest, but ended up with a Sealine S34 from the UK

If its speed you are after, something with KAD 300s would probably fit the bill, but that might be just over the limit of your budget. Do get them checked by an Engineer and check the service history.

I agree, the kad 32s are underpowered. But very few had Mercruisers, probably for good reason. The kad43 versions were better.

Personally I am not a fan of the Cranchi's aesthetics, but that is a personal thing, but you seem to want speed &2 cabins at a given price - so this might do it for you:

Finally, an ex-Sealine employee, now broker, told me that putting larger & larger engines was the cause of their problems. If speed is the ultimate goal, I would buy another brand.
