Let’s face it we all miss a few things from back home but what is it you DON’T miss?

It could be the weather, traffic or alarm clocks.

One thing I don’t miss is having to know which day it is and living the week by a schedule. If someone says to me come round on Thursday I have to now find out what day it is today and often what month and I love that feeling.

What about you. What DON’T you miss?

Isnt it Great to call back home in the depths of winter, to tell them about your swim round the boat before breakfast,
and that gorgeous bird in a bikini, drapped across the foredeck of the boat anchored nearby... :D

Having lived out of the UK since the mid 70s, I suspect that the things I miss are all in the memory. What I don't miss is all over the newspapers, reinforced by the odd visit back. So, driving in thick trafic, the mentioned price of beer, tho not the pubs. Trying to park. Jobsworths (they are much more cheerful here..) Stopping at a M-way service area and feeling threatened by groups of yoof, +the god-awful food ( I quickly decided I would rather starve that continue to eat it, and I am notoriously unfussy). The trash left so carelessly about. Need I go on? Too depressing, because I like the place.
