OK, well I guess it's that time of year, prepare for the new season etc, but as this is the first time I've gone through this process it's not easy to be sure that the prices I'm being quoted are right.

So what would be reasonable to have engines serviced (2 x Detroit 550 Deisels)?

What should lift out, hard standing for a week or so and antifouling cost for a 46' boat?

The boat is in Spain which may be more or less expensive than the uk.

Re: A guess?

I would think £800 for antifoul (time and materials included) and engine service (regular, no repairs) about £1000 for the pair, oil and filters etc included. Not saying that's in anyway fair or reasonable, just what it will cost!

The correct service manual giving engine / gearbox specifications
All service parts needed for the job
Reasonable tool kit and advance warning to bring special equipment
New overalls three pairs plus cheap throw away mats and rags
one return air ticket
Reasonable hotel plus food

How much would that cost
If I were not a single parent I would enjoy the job ,but the idea is still good perhaps you could advertise in the Uk

Re: Top quality service!

I must thank your entire team very much , no really, for looking after the boat through the very arduous winter months during which, had you no looked after everything so very carefully my bank account would have gone all stale due to lack of exercise.

These are big engines so I would expect £400-600 a side and thats without doing any other work such as repacking sternglands, generator etc. Anti-foul is about £11/ft for 2 coats so thats £500. Lift out £120, relaunch £120 and maybe £50/wk hardstanding so thats £300 + leccie.
Oh and dont forget hull/engine anodes (£100), polish hull and superstructure (£500), cleaning shafts/props(£150)
All in all you're looking at close to £3000 and thats without any unplanned repairs
