I am searching all over google to see where I can purchase one but don’t know what name to search under, ‘outdoor helm’ does not yield anything.

I mean this type of extra helm you can mount on the deck to one side with place for steering , gear/throttle shift.

Not the sort of thing you can buy off the shelf as a complete item. It is a duplicate helm station which will require all your engine and steering to be re-engineered to provide dual control plus duplicate instruments if needed. Not a trivial undertaking, nor always possible to convert existing systems. So usually designed and built in as original build.

Thanks for the reply’s. I do have a tiller that came with my boat but it is only in case of emergency if the power steering fails you shut of a valve for the hydraulics and attach the tiller to steer.

I am aware that the steering and cables for the gear/throttle have to be installed as extras, I can see that my system is compatible, I just need to find a helm frame that fits.

Are you asking about the whole thing or just the Grp mounded box?

If the latter: You're v unlikely to find someone selling just the box for your exact boat. Firms like outhill do have a range and you could browse their site and maybe get lucky. If the one in the pic happens to fit then ask that boat builder to supply as spare part. Or for something so simple you just make a use-once mould or get your boatyard/ local Grp mould shop to make the thing for you. I have lots of one off Grp parts on my boat and a good moulding shop would want say £700 to make that, as a guess. If that suits I'm happy to suggest a moulding firm who can make it from ( good) drawings.

All that said, I'd just fit throttles and thrusters, and forget the wheel. Then the job is much simpler

Yes , just the box is what I need . I did not consider making a bespoke one but reading your post gives me an idea and I will certainly explore that option.

Thanks for the response guys , I think I now have a plan. ;-)
