Hello,
Thanks for all the patience and advice, I've picked up a bilge keel Horizon 26. She seems structurally sound but is going to need a lot of work on the electronics/plumbing and the interior needs some attention (too much water through the leaking windows), but as she comes with a trailer I can keep her somewhere local while it's done.
She's a decent step up from the previous boat, the outboard and headroom is welcome, proper galley....
The mast is in a tabernacle and I think with care and mechanical assistance I raise and lower it myself, the trailer means she can be at home at winter and a different marina/mooring each summer. As a dinghy sailor the hull's race pedigree is a bonus. She's large enough to do some good coastal sailing and perhaps some irish sea crossing, but small enough (hopefully) to explore a little as well.
A kit built boat but I was impressed by the quality of the fit out.
James
