Ok folks, now that the party he founded is the most voted in Italy and is actually running the Country, I suppose you might be interested to know that he used to be a fellow moboer - to the point of naming his boat after his wife. So, time for a small poll.
What do you think Beppe Grillo (dismissed as just a retired clown by someone in another thread) went for, back in his boat shopping days?

From my viewpoint, it's interesting that the only two votes for Brit builders are from DougH (S/skr) and Petem (FL).
And I must say that I find the first an understandable guess, considering the brand popularity among actors etc.
Not sure about the latter, which appears... Ermm… Dare I say biased? Sorry P, couldn't resist! :rolleyes:

Anyway, here's a hint: the actual choice the guy made is one which I wouldn't have expected.

What the poll is about is which boat do you EXPECT a folk like him to buy, among the above.

Anyhow, it's very unlikely that you might find the answer on the web, so you can avoid wasting your time with google… :rolleyes:
But fwiw, yep, he did have a Magnum, which he drove on the rocks and sank. The boat I'm referring to with this thread was the replacement, and just to throw in another hint, you can forget the fact that he came from a Magnum before her….
 
Well given BG’s track record with crashing things, I’d hope he went for something robust like a Nordhavn, or better still, hired a skipper; either way if he’d kept it he could help with deporting the immigrants, rats and trash that he’s so bothered by ;)
 
For some reason, it just popped to my mind that I have yet to spill the beans on the correct answer to this poll.
Sooo, back in 1998, a decade before founding the party which later became the most voted in IT, the boat that the chap bought brand new from the IT importer was...

I'll leave to the FL owners here in the asylum the evaluation about whether they see that as a good company for their club or not... :)
