I have a Sterling Small International battery charger which was Ok to charge my 2 batteries 70Amp. But since upgrading the batteries to 110Amps each, it sort of stopped funcitioning: that is the batteries are not charged enough to even start an 18HP yanmar. Also the fridge does not work on charge as there seems there is not enough power in the batteries unless I start the engine. I noticed that the charger is not sensing that power is being drsined from the battery. Have cleaned all terminlas and have the same result. Before upgrading the batteries everything worked well. I was thinking of chsanging to a more efficient charger to my layout. Bur can't make my mind which one. Any advice which charger I should get?

I'd have thought it should still work but take longer if the batteries are discharged by the same % of full charge. I think I'd do a few tests before discarding it.

There is a 20 amp version which I believe is still available.

The "Procharge" is the "new revamped and upgraded charger which offers all the features of the International range but in a new look package with extra features"
Its available in 10, 20 and 30 amp versions. A 20 amp one should just be suitable for a battery bank of 220 Ah but maybe worth getting a 30 amp one
