What awful weather! may bank hol week weather ? guesstimates

Hi All

After the last couple of weekends/bank hol mon etc does anyone have any idea what the weather will be like for the half term week 27/5 --3/6
Couldnt bear another week like this w/end
Or should we just scarper abroad on a yacht charter
Any ideas ?

I would scarper abroad - the general outlook is for more unsettled weather, though the forecasts are difficult to predict with any accuracy so sod's law says if you go abroad, it will be the hottest Bank holiday on record and if you stay, it will be the wettest!

weatheronline.co.uk do a 6 and 8 day forecasts which seem reasonably accurate (although they are a bit fond of forecasting gusts of 37 kmh!)
Also theweatheroutlook.com does a 16 day one, although inevitably it tends to change a lot.

I've found this forecast to be reasonably reliable in the past. But 12 to 14 days out anything could happen. At the moment they are showing the high in the atlantic getting settled in further North than it has been recently and then coming our way. So I'm hopeful for the Bank Hol.

What awful weather????

Sailing down the sound of Mull yesterday, blue sky, NE 2-4 , bashing through the tide at Duart point at 7 knots, grinning from ear to ear like children. Where was this awful weather??
