My boat has a "flange" joint where the hull moulding meets the deck moulding.

A large rubber U section rubbing strip fits over this all the way round the boat.

I replaced this rubber strip 2 years ago with a new one somewhat more substantial than the old one, fixed in place with Sikaflex.

A large section of it has come unstuck on one side, so I need to strip it off clean it all and re stick it.

So question is what adhesive to use to stick rubber to fibreglass that must be waterproof, frost proof and stand up to some movement. Not sikaflex as that has let me down.

Rubber to fibreglass...

I had to stick a new rubber seal to my cockpit locker lid after the previous owner had obviously been bodging it for years. Because of the location, there will inevitably be forces trying to peel it off as bulky items get shoved in and out of the locker - so I needed a really good bond.

I chose this stuff, apparently it's mostly used to stick hovercraft skirts in place:

I keyed the fibreglass lightly and cleaned it thoroughly with acetone before gluing according to the instructions (it's a contact adhesive, you coat both parts then bring them together while tacky). Touch wood, so far it's been pretty durable.
