Just had the most fantastic week and a bit on the boat. We arrived Friday 14th May in the evening. Saturday and Sunday was spent messing about, doing a bit of cleaning, and helping Phil 2 bottles to fit his snap davits.
Tuesday we left PD heading for Conwy
The bridges looked well in the sunshine, Britannia Bridge.
Swellie rock was well covered by the time we passed it and the current wasn't running too fast.
Menai Bridge
We approached Conwy via The Swatch, accompanied by Phil 2 bottles on Sunshine Sally (MF 805)
Safely rafted up on the river pontoon opposite The Pickle
More of The Pickle
The view of Conwy Castle is stunning from the river
Wednesday lunchtime saw us cast off and head for Puffin Island, we actually saw a few puffins for the first time.
One of the Mussell boats came past PD on Thursday night before the fog rolled in
Friday morning saw us setting off for Porth Dinllaen, solo this time but we did stumble across Kwackers and his crew on the way towards the bar
Absolutely beautiful at Porth Dinllaen, if a bit misty on arrival
The dogs enjoyed the beach
We enjoyed the food, drink, peace and quiet.
Opened our eyes to this view on Saturday morning
Going ashore in the dinghy, obligatory wake shot
Liz talked the RNLI Skipper to give us a tour of the boat and boathouse, thanks Mike! They're having a new boat, boathouse and slipway later this year, the plans are very impressive.
Mirrormile at anchor opposite the Ty Coch
Jimmy assisting navigation into Pilots Cove
Caernarfon castle
Back home now and looking forward to the next one!
