I know this looks like a sneaky advert but I intend to advertise on ybw but on internet searches prices are all over the place.
Mine is a Mariner 3.3 HP 2 stroke, short shaft (badged up Tohatsu) must be 20 years old in great condition both in looks and workings. It would be pick up only from Birmingham.
But what’s it worth?

£200 or £150 pick up

There is a 1996 on ebay for £280. The others are more. £300 seems a fair average price for one that looks in great condition. Visual condition seems more appealing than age.

Edit.
So £200 will be a great deal for someone ;)

Thanks
So I’m settling at £200 and pick up from Birmingham
It’s on the For Sale page
I await my sentence from the administration

They will take it down then buy it. Do you have any sealine bits. Can I ask why you went out of boating

Do you really want to cast aspersions against the moderation team on the open forum?

You may also gave noticed that the thread has stayed as it didn’t break any forum T’s & c’s.

I hope David sells his ob for a good price.

Can I ask why you went out of boating
Good question and surprisingly maybe, not driven by finance.
A combination of things really so not one particular thing so my decision is an additional of the following:
Boat was in Spain
We are in our 70’s so don’t skip around the decks like we used to.
We are having more varied holidays eg South Korea so less time on the boat.
I’m a DIY’er so finding with less boat time, the proportion of boating time to fixing things time became skewed.
The local Spanish boatyard are very manana’ish and my attempts to offload some of the jobs became stressful and time wasting.
The kids and grandkids used to come out but understandably they want to experience different things with their limited time.
BIG MISTAKE
To keep SWMBO happy we stayed in a local marina apartment hotel. This adds £100 a day so had a great influence on how long we stay. No more “let’s go for a month”
Also after 45 years of boating (UK, Med and Adriatic) there is a feeling of “done it”
Perhaps it’s part of getting old (and grumpy) but anchorages seem to becoming busier and more irritating with buzzing generators, jet skis and poor wake consideration of approaching and leaving boats.

We are off to Switzerland in a couple of weeks and weather permitting will hire a boat which suits me.

So far nearly two years boatless and no regrets just a pile of great memories and genuinely very happy.
