looking for a tender around the 3m mark (max 3.2)
already have a 10hp 2stroke outboard from the previous owner knackered tender.

Looks like rotomoulded Whaly are fit for purpose and by faking the typical inflatable shape and fitting an allround inner bench they are very spatious for the size.

I guess 100kg +20 odd for the engine are ok for my davits, so anything else to worry about other than the higher price (but remember no expiry date as in inflatables)

Cheers

OK, I know it's not a hot topic as such
so lack of replies is expected, but not even one to comment if there's something wrong or good on them?
Never seen/touched one, so any comment would be appreciated.
Frankly 1500euro compared to 400euro for a s/h inflatable keel job is a big difference.
However, if you compare that with a decent rib at 1200+euro, the lack of expiry date and the roomier interior do make sense.
OTOH, not seen anyone using them so I'm afraid I may be missing something...

no experience myself,
but in Cassis and Bandol, the harbour guy's (and girls) use them,
and they seem handy, and alway's in a ready condition.
never trouble with the tubes,

they torture them quite hard,
sometimes chains slipping over the sides,
(the heavy ones on the harbour bottom to fix bow lines)

or they pull and push boats in to another berth
I've seen them pushing very hard, against Mistral, (4m,20Hp)
on the beam of +50ft boat

I've been wondering what's the disadvantage of these boats, as we don't see them so often.
put perhaps there are issues that I don't think / know about

V. The Thread title is misleading, a Waly tender can be something else, and I have no interest in these :)
