Yes. The creatures are desperately lost and panicked, they don't need self-righteous, interfering busybodies chasing them...with a helicopter of all things!
They are not rare creatures, just let nature take its course, and if they end up on the beach? humane slaughter followed by steaks in the local fishmongers'.
