Whale Mk5 elbows

I need to fit the 90 degree elbow at each side of the pump. They seem to be a very tight fit to the outlets on the side of the pump. Is it a matter of brute force to get them on - I`m cautious about damaging the pump?

Sorry error, wrong pump.

Try smearing them with washing up liquid or liquid hand cleanser to ease them on.
