Whale Blue/Red MDPE Tube 15mm?

I need a few metres of red and blue Whale 15mm pipe, I'm considering buying 10m of each from MarineMegaStore, as they are the only retailer that came up on Google.

Anyone going to stop me?

why not go to a plumbers merchant & buy "Hep 2o" pipe or what ever domestic stuff they stock

our local privately owned/ family run merchant is polypipe, much cheaper too

Any of the push fit stuff is more than adequate, the only real advantage of the Whale stuff is that it is easy to identify the hot and cold system, perhaps that is why you like the idea? Generic MDPE tube can be had for peanuts in coils, 2m & 3m lengths. I use JG speedfit because I like the final screw for security and the fittings range.

John Gest pipe and fittings from screw fix is some of the best prices and you can get colour coded lock clips for it

Yes, I'd prefer to stick with the original stuff. I was just looking for alternative suppliers.

I would not touch the WHALE stuff with a barge pole, at least for hot water. It swelled and split near the calorifier on my mate's Bav when it got a bit hot. Do you realise it's only rated for 65 degrees? (See http://www.whalepumps.com/marine/si...ry/Whale_Quick_Connect_hi_res_flyer_aug08.pdf ) I replaced it with Speedfit. Good for at least 100 degrees.
