'Wet Wipe Island' at Hammersmith

It was on the BBC TV London news the other night. They said 150 tons or was it tonnes. Either way, a lot.

'Grace Rawnsley, the director of sustainability for the Port of London Authority (PLA), which has taken on the gruesome task of dredging up the wet wipes, estimates that more than 180 tonnes – roughly equivalent to 15 of the capital’s doubledecker buses – will be pulled from the river in the next month.'

I assume that 180 tonnes is the total amount of general 'grot', not just the wet wipes. In one of the accompanying photos there appears to be a lot of vegetation (as one would expect), along with the domestic waste.
