Just replaced the exhaust elbow - source of joy given the access issues - but, it is now done.
Original 38mm wired wet exhaust pipe re-connected to the elbow, but original connection to the silencer/waterlock only connected to the tapered part of the pipe and does not secure well. How it has not been an issue before I don't know.
I would like to get more of the pipe onto the parallel part of the silencer pipework beyond the taper, but the pipe is too rigid/small.
I suppose the simplest would be to buy larger diameter pipe, but I am hoping there may be a simpler 'fix'.
Any suggestions appreciated .

Don't think 38mm is a standard size - 40mm is more common. new hose is far superior to the old wire stuff - more flexible and easier to put on the spigot. Tome for a short length of new hose perhaps.

All done. Thanks for the feedback. Turned out to get a good fit to the silencer/waterlock 45mm was best - 40 would not clamp. Missed Alahol2’s comment, but I doubt I would have found an adaptor today.
Appreciate the help.

Typical sound suppression figures from 40% for single chamber lift systems through 80% for a dual chamber system. 450 mm dual chamber system
