The port nav light on my boat is not working, the screws holding the cover in place appear chewed and rotten, the make of the lights are Pefko and they are the ball type ones that are fitted to Westerlys. My only option appears to be drilling the offending screws out.......anyone else had this problem?

Drill the heads off with a tungsten carbide bit. The cover should slide off the remains of the screw. You may not be able to buy replacement screws but you could get threaded rod and nuts to make your own. Did that on an Aquasignal, but the threads are metric which made it easier. Perko are US made so not sure what size and thread the screws will be.

ASAP Supplies are the UK distributors for Perko, and suspect Trafalgar Yacht Services will also stock them.
