I have my eye on one. Broker has been reducing price over past five months. I know only 19 were built in early '80's. I have sought info at westerly-owners. Does anyone here have any info?

I have little personal experience of these but, compared to her smaller sisters, they are more of a cruiser racer than a racer. Higher superstructure meant more room below but she was still a bit spartan, even by the standards of the early eighties. She sails well, though - fast and well balanced. Two were built with all-Kevlar hulls which should be bullet proof (ha-ha).

What is the broker asking? You shouldn't have to pay much more than £25,000 for one these days.

Thanks guys, I am off next week to have a look at the boat and a sail with a good surveyor in tow. Trying to use the Irish bush telegraph to learn why it hasn't sold.

It has a very good IRC rating, but I want to use it more for cruising than racing.

I know the first two of 19 were kevlar/grp. the rest were common grp. One of the the first two was Joggernaut, now Irakai, in Ireland, but which was the second?

Thanks again
