Built 1970, I'm guessing quite heavily built, unfortunately too far for a quick trip to look. What value all up and running?

Presume it would be outboard, no inboard engine?

I think for £4k, you'd have a fair choice of ready-to-sail boats around this size.
For £2k, if you bought carefully you could probably do quite well.

But even though the rig looks shiny, it could be a money pit.
Decent used outboard: £500?
Interior: Many hours of DIY and £200 materials?
Sails?
Winter storage to work on it?

The problem is, even in perfect condition, buyers are not queueing around the block. It needs a mooring and mooring for a boat like that will usually take a bigger boat. If you've got a cheap mooring and winter storage, boats like this are very affordable.

thanks, but it's about £2k for a lorry so not a goer really.
