Can anyone help please?

I'm about to replace the plastic in the windows and need to order the plastic
before I start ( dont' want the windows missing for days on end )

Can anyone tell me for sure the thickness of them please?

They seem to be the original frames.

ps - going to use marineseal 033 to fit plastic in the frame and arbormast br to fix frame to GRP :-)

Are you sure they are plastic? My 1976 Westerly windows are toughened glass.

I'd suggest contacting C&J International Windows. I have found them very helpful and they are run by a chap who used to make windows for Westerly. They may well be able to supply you the whatever-it-is from patterns they have already.
 
I too would have expected the originals to be toughened glass but I guess you are replacing them because the existing plastic has crazed.

You can always stick some plastic sheet over the openings with some self adhesive tape while the windows are out.

While the windows are out may be the sensible time to renew the lining on the cabin sides if it is beginning to fall off.

Is the marineseal 033 suitable for use with plastic glazing ? Solvents in unsuitable sealants can cause cracking of the plastic.

Are the existing glazing panels fitted with sealant? I am fairly certain that originally toughened glass windows were fitted with a moulded seal.

If you are, OP, have you thought about going back to glass? It's much nicer to look out of and surprisingly cheap. When C&J rebuilt the windows of my Hunter 490 it cost something like two pounds extra per window to have specially made toughened glass rather than plastic.

The Westerly Centaur windows were toughened glass. If plastic has been fitted and is not as thich as the glass then the seals may have a problem sealing.

I believe CJ International can supply the correct seal section so no need for mastic etc .There are various sealants of the non hardening type including Sikaflex that can be used . The data sheets will suggest the correct ones.
 
The correct Sika sealants are Sikaflex-295 UV for plastic glazing and Sikaflex-296 for glass.
There are special primers which will be needed if these materials are to be used as adhesive sealants
