Hi Chaps
I have a Westerly 33 that I have just replaced the cutlass bearing on and now I can't tighten the lower bolt on the housing that contains the bearing as the nut is / should be / was under the stern tube and is inaccessible?
I was hoping when I took it apart that there would be a nut buried in the GRP but no. Someone on the Westerly Forum said their Discuss has a plate behind the stub with a thread tapped in to the plate, ours does not appear to have this.
Anyone here know for sure what a W33 would have or how best to ensure we can get that bolt up tight.
Thanks
Toby
