The work on the new West Pole and Bar Beacon is continuing. The old bar beacon:

I see he has the dimmer installed to tone them down. They were a bit OTT originally.

Interesting that when someone posted an equally red sky from that location on Scuttlebutt last week he was shouted down with cries of "boring"!!

Hi RR,

Aviators ok but the lights arnt from your boat, they were from some damn great Squaddie at the end of the wall.

Crikes, should have seen it, about 6 kids went round to look at it and stayed there for about an hour or two, must have been dancing in the moonlight up on the flybridge.

Gor-Blimey, whats security coming to, Eh?
