West Country to CI this weekend

Looking to get across to the CI's then down to North Brittany. Looking to go this weekend...possibly early hours of Sunday morning. Any one else planning a similar trip and want to travel in convoy? We have a Trader 50 so dont rocket across...maybe 12kts SOG.

Keeping an eye on the weather but here in the South East its scorchio today - bound to be a big Low tracking across by the weekend though!

Cant understand why you havent had a barrage of responses
Must be the threat of an early start

If its a bit choppy 12knts is about right for smaller sports boats to tuck in behind you.

There has been plenty of times when I could have done with a 50 footer to tuck in behind , mind you I also been out with 50 footers who have tucked in behind me

Anyone heading to CI from Poole/Solent or is fuel getting too expensive ?

Thanks for the offer but a little early for us. Next year we should have gained enough experience to be up for this.

This Sunday is the RYA motor cruise from Yarmouth to Cherbourg. There are about 20 boats going so, depending on where you are starting from, you may see plenty of them.

Wish we could tag along but at 12 knots you may be a bit fast for us as himself likes to travel at about 8 - 10 knots

Looks like no boating at all for us this summer due to exploding discs in husbands spine (surely it can't hurt THAT much)
