west country self help boat clubs

I have a small clinker double ended yacht and am looking for a self help club in the west country ( from Portland west).
I need somewhere that I can haul out for the winter and do maintenance on the boat and that has swinging moorings and friendly members.I enjoy the upkeep of my boat as much as I enjoy the sailing.
Any ideas?

I suspect that you havn't had any responses because that are no clubs that quite fit your description in the West Country. There are plenty of good clubs, but I don't know of any that have their own moorings and haul out/lay-up facilities. You may have to find a club, then put your boat in a yard elsewhere.
I may be wrong though, and someone may know about somewhere that fits your bill exactly.

It may help if you say roughly where you live so that people can help you find somewhere that's easy to get to. It's a long way from Portland to Penzance!

One club springs to mind, but it may be a bit far West for you - Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club, just in Cornwall. Very friendly and active. Have a mass haul out each october - back in in March. Loads of people working on their own boats through the winter - and a great bar!
