Yes, we were out in the Laser 4000.

Had a very close encounter with a yacht near MDL -

We were sailing upwind on port on the inside of the moored yachts and a yacht was sailing in the channel, but not pointing high and heading to MDL, naturally we tack onto starboard to avoid MDL and cross the river, they refuse to tack?, so we tacked back, but when we came within two metres of MDL, were forced to tack and this yacht still hadn't tacked and was about to hit the Marina - once it saw us 3ft away from contact, it decided to tack, but had to bear away so it didn't hit 'Marina' / First Red Can (Red channel mark by MDL).

This was the closest I'd come to having an accident with a yacht, they showed no regard for the sailing rules....

Unfortunately I missed the name, but the boat was an old Dufor.
