... and took some pics of the view looking back over Fethiye and Yacht Plaza Hotel where we are moored (Esper is just behind the boat at anchor, bottom-right). I think Liz and I will be writing a 'Living In Fethiye' piece for FTB, including information on boat maintenance (what to get where) for future reference for other liveaboards. In the meantime check this pic out (one of a series we'll include in our little piece). Nice view.

PS: Apologies for bombarding the forum with posts recently. I think I'm trying to get it all out my system before we go to anchor next month and lose decent internet connection!

Lovely photo demonboy, how's your local knowledge on those mountains in the background? I know the Turks are keen on "Military Area-no access" to many areas, but do you know of any backpacking trails/national park areas within striking distance? I like to to get ashore for 'walkies' sometimes. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Actually, one of the things I wanted to include in our article on Fethiye was a section on The Lycian Way. This is a recognised, official footpath that takes you 500km through the Lycian region of Turkey. Liz and I did a very, very small part of it the other week and the cycle ride yesterday took us onto it too. I'm planning some video footage as well as pics and links to Google Earth etc in this article, in amongst the spring cleaning.

There's also a website run by Kate Clow called Lycian Way which has some useful info on this these mountains. She's got a book out on it too.

They really are stunning, aren't they?

Just the sort of reply I was hoping for, great, thank you. I'm on the list now. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
