I am considering a trip around the North Norfolk Coast in a couple of weeks and seen that when I am looking to go Wells Carnival week is on.

Has anyone been into Wells when this is on? How much of a premium is mooring space? I have an mutt who sails with me and being rafted up 3 boats deep is not an option as he would struggle to get on and off.

Also; any other suggestion for a nice relaxed 5-7 day cruise with 'er indoors and said mutt, long keel 22'......

Wells Carnival Week is next week I believe

We're planning on heading up that way and have assumed Wells would be best avoided until the week after

Hello,
Thanks for your replies on my simular thread. I went to Wells last year by road in carnival week and noticed that they were rafted out about 3 boats. We are going on 2/3 Aug and bailing out on the Saturday as thats the main carvinal day. I have called the harbour office and they say that they have never turned anyone away which is nice because its quite a trek. I think we will be just short of Wells on the night of the 2nd so you might see us anchored off. Cheers Colin.

We had been hoping to go to this but cant get the time of work now. When we were there are couple of weeks ago the harbour master expected it to be very busy with boats rafted 3 or 4 deep.

We were there during a quiet week and still ended up rafted up for part of the week.It is all part of the fun of visiting Wells I suppose.

They will never turn you away and will always find you somewhere to moor but you can not guarantee that will be against the pontoon.
