After visiting the Southampton boat show I have seen (and confirmed to myslef) the style of boat I would like next so have put my boat up for sale. In the current market I am not expecting AWOL to sell quickly but have now at least made a commitment to move on.

Any ideas of where I should promote my sale? I have put her up with Boatshed and listed privately on B/O now looking for other cost effective ways of promoting a sale.

Due to financial constraints I am not expecting to buy new but would like a 3-4 year old replacement so no chance of a part exchange to move things along, all other ideas gratefully received.

Ive sold 3 boats on findafishingboat.com on their private boats section, good value and lots of response.

Lisa there might be a slight chance of a px but that would depend on dealers having suitable stock boats but I will ask the question when looking at boats.

Depending on what you're moving up to, Essex Boatyards are excellent at stitching together px deals on stock boats, not just new boats.

Cheers

Jimmy I am looking for either a rodman 870 or starfisher 8 or similar, they have nothing suitable at the moment but will keep an eye on there website.

LP and H thanks for your input I will look into those ideas

Martin,
what makes you sell the Karnic, to be replaced by just a slightly bigger other sport fisher ?
do you have the K2460 or K2660 ?

actually these boat models are so unique;
bigest trailable diesel sport fisher,
but aperantly very little users / buyers look at it this way, or want this, ...

the new boats you spec are well available in Spain,
have a look at "Cosas des barcos"

I did a px deal there some your ago,
if you don't mind the hassle with communication and transportation.

a bit sad, but nevertheless wish you good luck :)

I would recommend Ebay, gets exposure to loads of buyers for little cost, get the interest and then sell privately to them, avoiding ebay costs. Obviously I don't do it that way EBay :-)

On such a beautiful day it just had to be done. What a superb day to be on the water, we enjoyed a lovely cruise up the frome and then round to Arne, Tee shirts all day and only just got back in.

Done the family bit today will be out again tomorrow but further offshore fishing this time.

Were you out?
