There's been some criticism of them in the past, but I was really impressed with their actions this week. Not being able to find our licence, we thought we'd accidentally let it lapse, so applied for a new one. On Tuesday I got a call from a polite lady checking that it was still the same boat, and telling me that we were licensed until November. I asked whether we'd need to pay for another copy of the license. No. She reminded me we'd also added an EPIRB in the latest application - again, no charge. When would I get the replacement licence? Probably not till next week. Oh dear, I'd really like a copy for the Triangle. No problem, she'd put it in the post first class on Tuesday, and tear up our cheque. And it's already arrived.

Well done and thank you.

I agree- great service recently when we changed our boat- also included nice phone call from a chap called Kevin ( on a Sunday!) who also gave me the new MMSI over the phone so I could program the DC that day. The website is also very useful- accessed via Ofcom.

I also had a very polite lady deal with my enquiry when I could not find my new licence. The matter was very well dealt with after I used their internet based service to add my DCS radio and this automatically meant that they send a replacement in any case.
