I am so pleased that Stingo has a loving new owner.

Hi John,
I've been working on Stingo for the past 10 days and it's been very hot, well more humid than hot! I'm now relaxing in Tobago for the final 3 days waiting for my flight home.
Stingos topsides have have been cleaned and polished and a few gelcoat abrasions around the transom edges have been made good and she really does gleam. She;s had the osmosis blisters locally filled and the hull has had epoxy barrier coats plus 3 coats of antifouling. New rudder bushes top and bottom, new cutless bearing with modified retaining screws (!), prop has been reconditioned, mainsail is in for repair and a new genoa is on order (XXXXX Sails). I've also ordered a new sprayhood, stackpack and sun awning! The headlinings are all being replaced throughout the boat as the foam was crumbling and I've converted the workshop back into an aft cabin with new upholstery as required. Finally all the internal varnish is being removed and the interior will be re-varnished including new veneers where necessary. Oh yes, the windows have been removed and replaced and the hatches have new perspex! The total cost will be around 6k pounds which provides me (once everythings finished) with a pretty immaculate boat for £ nnk.
Now all I have to do is find the time to sail her! The plan now has slightly changed, I'm keeping her out in the Carib (St Lucia probably) until May, then friends will sail her to the Algarve so she may well end up in Partimao again! Reason being I can get cheap flights from my local Bournemouth airport to Faro so can sail her regularly over long weekends.
Gotta go, internet credit is about to expire! Will write again once I get back to UK.
Hope all is well with your plans and things are moving ahead smoothly.
Cheers, Brian
