And she's been as good as her word. There's now a direct link on the VisitThames website to the EA site and a Direct Link for lock closures and river conditions.

With goodwill from both sides maybe we can now start to make this forum really effective as a prime point of communication between all boaters on the river and the EA. Now all we need to do is get the word out to many more river users to join the forum.

Why not actually state what the river conditions are, lock to lock, on this web page?

Can't see it would be that difficult.

We are working on that as well. Now that we have got the new website up, it means that our staff can access it remotely and not have to be in the office which has been one of our problems previously. It will take a while to set up but I hope to have something sorted in time for the winter.
