We're boatless /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif and for the first time in 6 years!!

The guy who bought the boat seems really nice, and even offered to let us borrow it off in for the odd weekend, while we probably won't thought it was a nice gesture.

He's keeping it in Fareham so it you see a Black hulled Monterey 250 called Persephone on your travels give him a wave /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hopefully the dry spell is only short term, but having just plowed everything we could into our new home we need to be a bit sensible

Congratulations Charlie!

its a kinda good and bad feeling isnt it!

We are in the same position as you and hoping to be back on the water next year at some point!

it hurts me soo much at the moment when i am sat in the garden and i can still hear the boats going up and down Southampton water but im told this pain will fade when more beer is consumed!

good luck with the house!!

Might feel like a bit of a bummer but you've done the right thing...

Guess you can become, 'Chas No Boat' now. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

See you and Carol down the pub, I hope.

Most would have been in a similar situation in the past, I know I have. Getting back on the old boat wont help much, maybe try a bit of crewing with some mates.

Hi Roger, yeah we'll still be coming to the pub /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif any excuse for a beer /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Hi Chas,

In 2005 I had to sell the bigger boat and go smaller because of a new house. Since then the boat has gone even smaller!

After 4 years finally starting to think about a big one again....

Do not worry, try to catch a ride off the rest of us
