I have a Standard Horizon HX280E which, until now, I have been very pleased with. But now it buzzes loudly and displays "BUSY" when switched to channel 73 (only). Adjusting the squelch does not help. At first I assumed that someone was accidentally "button down" on that channel but, if so, they have been following us for the last couple of weeks over a couple of hundred miles. This is particularly annoying as several ports/marinas use that frequency - and all other channels are fine! Any ideas would be welcome.

have you tried operating the radio with everything on the boat turned off or from a location well clear of the boat. This can happen due to interference from other equipment on board.

Dose your radio only do this when on your boat, (or close proximity to your boat)?
Do any other marine radios exhibit this on your boat?
Have you recently installed anything 'electrical' on your boat?

Could be picking up something locally generated.
