Hi folks, does anybody know the weight of a Westerly Merlin out of the water?

westerly site says displacement of a Merlin is 3490 KG or 7678 Lbs or 4.36 tons
Displacement is same as actual weight, says archimedes

That's what the builder said, rather simplistically IMHO. But can over a foot of length be added with no weight increase? Only in the razor-sharp world of racing design and by making economies elsewhere. That certainly didn't happen to Westerly's.
I used to race a Mk II regularly, but in those days of self-certification for Channel Handicap we never had her lifted and weighed - far too expensive!
