Weight of boat

I'm trying to find out the weight of Macwester 26 for lifting purposes but can only find dispacement and ballast figures as in the yachtsnet link below.

Is there a formula using these figures to work out the weight, if not, anyone know the weight.

According to Archimedes a vessel displaces its own weight in water (well not literally, but the fact stands) so your answer is on the linky.

According to PBO publication 'Which Boat' it displaces 6,700 lb. That'll be the advertised 'design' displacement, and quite likely it'll be a bit more than that.

Always err on the side of caution.Our last boat, an early Halcyon 27,should have weighed just over 3000kg according to design specs but actually weighed just shy of 4500kg when lifted.When lifted it was still in cruiser spec ie it still had all its inventory on board plus a bit of fuel and water so that maybe accounts for 500kg.The extra 1000kg was just a bonus!
