Thanks to everyone who has used my Book Ahead Forecast Service. This has proved really popular (surprisingly so) and I'm really grateful to those who have tried it. Basically, you can book a forecast hours, days or weeks in advance online. You pay £12 inc. for the forecast which is then emailed to you. A bit of a mess! A weak ridge over central and southern England and Wales, although a shallow low west of Ireland will be pushing fronts eastwards through western Scotland and Ireland.
There could be some outbreaks of rain and drizzle over the west and north of Scotland, together with much of western and northern Ireland through the day. Visibility in these areas reduced to moderate with a threat of some mist and fog patches drifting onto the west Scottish coast.
For much of Wales and England it should be a dry day with broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. There is a chance of some thicker cloud over the northwest of England and western Wales, as well as the east coasts of East Anglia, where there could also be an odd shower.
Winds light and variable in the south, around 5-8kt (F2-F3), but generally SW 8-12kt (F3 locally F4) through Ireland and western Scotland.

Another slack pressure flow throughmmuch of the UK and Ireland today.A weak cold front extenbds from western Ireland through western Scotland, with a weak warm front affecting the northeast coasts of England.
For Scotland and Northern Ireland I expect the day to be rather dull and damp. There may be some outbreraks of light time at anytime, although the south of Scotland is likely to be drier.
To the south England, Wales and most of southern Ireland should be dry. There will be sunny spells for all, although a chance of some mist or fog patches drifting onto the coasts.
Winds light and variable in the south, around 5-8kt (F2), nearer SW 8-12kt (F3) over Northern Ireland and Scotland.

A hint of things turning a little more unsettled on Sunday. Low pressure moves to the west of Scotland, although the exact positioning of this is unclear at the moment. Active fronts are likely to move into the west of Scotland and Ireland.
Increasing winds for Scotland and Ireland with cloud and periods of rain, some of it heavy. Little change is expected throughout the day.
For much of England and Wales the day is going to be dry and warm with lots of sunshine. However, there is a low risk of a shower or isolated thunderstorm. Cloud may increase over western Waless too, perhaps bringing cloud and drizzle later.
Winds will be SW F5-F6 through most of Scotland and Ireland, increasing over northern England. Mainly variable 5-8kt (F2) becming 8-12kt (F3) in the afternoon through the Midlands and southern England.
