Hello again,
The weekend is here and there's some really discrepancy in the day-to-day run of the forecast models. I've tried my best below, but this may all change.
If you need to talk to a forecaster we are here all weekend. It's me on throughout. The number is 090 666 444 80 and that costs £1.50 per minute. Or, if you prefer to pay by credit card call 01902 895252, state you want to pay by credit card as soon as the call is answered, and then you'll pay £11.75 for the whole call.
Don't forget, your friends can subscribe to this forecast by emailing sailingweather-subscribe@weatherweb.net
Have a good weekend,

WEEKEND SAILING FORECAST
Issued: 1830 Thursday 4th August 2005
FRIDAY
Low pressure to the west of Scandinavia at midday on Friday. A shallow area of low pressure passing through the Midlands and into southeast England. A ridge of high pressure builds through Ireland, although a warm front will be approaching the west later.
Rain and cloud passing through the Midlands, southern and southeast England in the morning, some of it heavy. This should clear east in the afternoon, although it could linger over East Anglia and the southeast for a time.
Showers will be affecting north and west Scotland, with more southern and eastern areas drier in sunny spells.
Ireland should be mainly fine, with good spells of sunshine, this sunshine spreading to Wales and western England in the afternoon.
Winds, SW 12-15kt (F3-F4) ahead of the low in the southeast, becoming NW 12-15kt (F4) behind it. Mainly NW 20-25kt (F5) over Scotland, NW 15kt (F4) over Ireland.
SATURDAY
Low pressure remains over southern Norway on Saturday, with a ridge of high pressure building west of the British Isles. This will bring an unstable northwest flow to many eastern areas.
Expect showers over much of Scotland and the eastern coasts of England. A few showers could occur in the west for a time too, but these should fade. Some showers may move into the Midlands through the Cheshire Gap but again these should fade.
The best of the sunshine across Ireland and the west of Wales together with southwest England.
Winds NW 12-15kt (F3-F4, mainly NW 8-10kt (F3) over Ireland.
SUNDAY
The low remains over Scandinavia as a high builds west of Ireland. This high may well become a blocking feature, although confidence is low.
There will be sunny spells and showers for many eastern areas, and it is likely to be a windy day in the east of Scotland. More western areas should be drier with good spells of sunshine. Lighter winds.
Winds N 12kt (f3-F4) in the east but 18-24kt (F5-F6) at times on eastern coasts.
