Hello again,
Here's the latest. We have to wait until Sunday for an improvement by the looks of things.
If you need to talk to a forecaster we are here all weekend and it's me both Saturday and Sunday. The number is 090 666 444 80 and that costs £1.50 per minute. Or, if you prefer to pay by credit card call 01902 895252 (you can use that number from abroad as well), state you want to pay by credit card as soon as the call is answered, and then you'll pay £11.75 for the whole call.

WEEKEND FLYING FORECAST
Issued: 1600 Thursday 28th July 2005
FRIDAY
Low pressure in Cardigan Bay during Friday afternoon. This will be bringing unstable air to much of England and Wales. An occluded front lies through central Ireland to northern England at the same time. A weak ridge may build through southeast England as a ridge also builds west of Scotland.
Rain for much of Ireland and northern Ireland today. The rain may be heavy at times, especially over high ground. Southern Scotland remains cloudy and wet too. Showers are likely to affect Wales, whilst the Midlands and parts of eastern and southern England should be drier with sunny spells. Quite a pleasant day in the east Midlands and East Anglia. Mist and fog patches on western coasts.
For Scotland it will be windy with some cloud in the east, although western parts of Scotland should be drier and brighter. Windy through Ireland too.
The winds mainly SW 10-12kt (F3) in southern England, N-NE 20-30kt (F6-F7) over Ireland and parts of the Irish Sea, NE 20-28kt (F6) over Scotland.
SATURDAY
Low pressure centred to the south of Cornwall, linked with a further low over the Baltic. An occluded front extends through southern Ireland and northern England, into the south of Scandinavia. The ridge of high pressure builds into Ireland and Scotland, with a brisk north to northeast flow here.
Cloud and rain over southern and eastern Ireland on Saturday. This extends through northern parts of England, and into the Irish Sea. Most of the rain over northern England. Drier weather for southeast England and East Anglia, although more rain into the northern Midlands and East Anglia.
Over Ireland and Scotland, as well as northern England it will be another breezy day. Cool in the north to northeast wind.
Winds will be SW 12kt (F3) over southeast England, becoming N 15-20kt (F5) over Ireland, northern England and Scotland.
SUNDAY
A ridge of high pressure building through Ireland during the course of Saturday. An occluded front clearing the south coasts of the United Kingdom.
Any rain should clear the south, and then most of the UK and Ireland will have a fine day with sunny spells. Cloud may increase later in western Scotland, perhaps bringing some drizzle at times.
Winds will be from the NW 12kt (F4), mainly W 15kt (F4-F5) in western Scotland.
