Thats a pity I am ready to start antifouling! Done most (well sort of most!) the inside jobs. Need a bit of warmth now - well anything about 5 degrees C!
So that'll be down to Pyefleet on Friday afternoon, Rowhedge for lunch /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif on Saturday, sleep it off in Pyefleet Saturday night, and back to Maldon on Sunday morning.

i dont know what the wind speed was at 4 oclock this morning but it did make my lorry heave about, being a tighwad i decided to drive down to cornwall to pick up my new mast, transport guys wanted about 750.00 to transport a 200.00 mast,it was hairier than the falls at orford,i was being buffetted something rotten.I stopped and decided to grab 40 winks,i managed about 5 i think the wind and rain howelled all night over those moors.
When I made my first post there was a cockup on the forcast and it was showing 300mph winds, now corrected.
Not made massive progress on the boat and it is too cold and wet to do much out in the open at the moment.
Off to Edale at 7am Saturday to go walking for the day. I have made sure I am walking on the tops with the wind behind me as the wind chill temp is forcast to be minus 13!!
Next boaty date is the Newark Boat Jumble on Sunday 15th February where I normally have a stand to sell my surplus junk. This year it includes my project river boat (Freeman22) which I have lost interest in. The 4 wheel Hallmark Super Roller Coaster trailer it is on is going to be worth 4 times ther price of the boat!
Sorry to read about your incident, hope you get back on the water for the season.
Takes me back - Upper Booth, Jacobs Ladder, Kinder Scout above the snow line, when I lived in Stockport and worked in Glossop in the unbelievable winter of '47, but no hiking in those drifts.
