week sailing in may

anyone give me a steer in the right direction

want to do a wks sailing in may, probally with a school somewhere, somewhere warm, done gib a few times so wanted to try somewhere new, any suggestions???

Canaries?
Sunsail have a shcool in Lanzarote and there are another one or two based in La Gomera over by Tenerife. I think they advertise in the usual yachting press. Hope this helps.

No problem, I have met the instructors at Sunsail though and they are a good bunch.

Not used them myself but a friend of mine recons Canary sail are good - well he has now been back to them 4 or 5 times

depends on what sort of sailing you and family want, Sun ok. Some wind or a lot of wind. Canaries can be hairy and it can be good, depends on the requirements. Greek Islands can be great but the weather...........

I have skippered in both places some moons ago and it's dependent on requirements and experience

wanted to work on specific stuff such as close quarters work, improve sail handling etc, would hope do do my ym exam at the end of the year and need a lot of work to be well ready or else i will put it off until next year.

Try Activity Yachting Holidays in Croatia. We did a week with them last May for SWiMBO to get her ICC. Had an oldish Elan 30. Great little boat and exceptional prices.

They appear to have some great deals on at the moment and if we weren't getting our new boat we would be going again.
