Weed this year

Am I alone in thinking that weed on the hull is greater this year? Maybe because little sailing so no water to"wash" it off but mine is now 6" long from a March anti foul. And no comments about which anti foul please.

Possibly because of the astounding weather during lockdown's first two months.

My boat had to stay in until June and developed an impressive line of weed below the waterline. Curiously, this almost disappeared before lift-out due to the services of the grey mullet.

Mine has been in for just over two years now and the slime grows quickly (two weeks) but still falls off as soon as I go for a good fast sail. Im putting off redoing it until it no longer erodes
