I realise this is a very old thread but believe it or not this vessel still floats……Just! I have been researching the history of her as I recently become her owner. Many think the boat has long disappeared as it has been renamed in the past. She’s unfortunately fallen victim of bodged repairs over the years by many different owners presumably not realising what taking on a vessel of this age on would entail nor knowing how bad she’s been treat. She really is in a poor state, floating wreck is an understatement and needs dry docking asap. My intention is clear, I’m going to save her 😁. Rot has not only taken its toll on the decks letting water into the hull, it’s also set well into many frames/ribs and concerningly crumbling in my hands. The ply sheathing has been bodged many times and from what I can see nobody has bothered to remove any rotten wood and just over boarded it. I believe this boats come into my life for a reason and she found me 😉. Over this weekend I will set up my media links and post them in due course for anyone who is interested in following me on this massive adventure. Just a follow on my social media platforms can help fund her restoration.😁
