Wee Jeannie looked to be a home built cat about 45ft was anchored of Mogan port Gran canaria but unfortunatly she parted company with her mooring and is now completly wreaked on the rocks. this happend last mon or tues night...any one know any history or info?

She was built by a Dutchman in the shed a Farlie Quay Marina over the last two years.
I've met all the crew hope they are all safe have you any news.

nobody hurt (except emotions&cost) she was left unattended ..I saw her on her mooring the day before and was supprised that only one line was used to secure.bit of s swell that night and wind got up a bit next morning she was on the rocks stbd hull completly smashed port hull holed on the rocks and destroyed on the next high tide..i heard she was only a couple of monts old..

They had just completed building her and it was its maiden voyage. Glad to hear that nobody was injured. I saw it sail away from Fairlie and reckoned along with others that they had a big heart sailing to the Canaries as they had not even sailed around Cumbrae opposite where it was launched. Glad to hear they made it to the Canaries their next stop I believe was to have been the Caribbean.

rumour has it ..they arrive tennerife and refused entry to port as no insurance..so went on to port Mogan ..left boat in port and went back to tennerife..then "somebody" moved her out of the port and moored her outside the harbour..it can get a bit lumpy where she was.... imo she was secured with one line(rope) which chaffed through and parted as she was riding a good swell for two days..but I dont know its only what it looked like to me...it was lucky nobody was aboard as her 2 small outboards had been removed and she was only about 80 mtrs off shore..all sorts of rumours going about in mogan at moment ,,smug druggling.. run gunning etc..as i said its all rumour
