Wee boat insurance.

I'm trying to insure my little boat. She's a 25 foot Stephen Joned designed mini-tonner from 1980. It's a great wee boat but not worth very much any more say £3000-£4000. I've been doing a bit of shopping around but I can't get anyone to insure it without a survey. Trouble is all I really want insurance for is so that I can sign the disclaimer and enter the winter series. Therfore I don't want to pay £500 for a survey.
Anyone got any ideas / know an insurer who doesn't need a survey on this insured amount / size of boat? Not particularly bothered about the level of service / response to claims etc.

Edward William don't always require a survey www.edwardwilliam.com I used to be with them but found them more expansive than Navigators and General who didnt ask for a survey either.

GJW used to insure my old GK24 without a survey, they just needed a letter from me stating the condition of the boat. They were also very competitive so give them a try.

Polestar do my e-boat without a survey so give them a go.

I've got a 24 ft boat and am insured with Bishop Skinner - 020 7566 5800 they don't require a survey unless the boat is worth more than £5000, therefore my boat is insured for £4995......

How much is your insurance if I might ask?I take it is Comprehensive?The reason I ask is that I'm with Basic Boat third party £80 ish and wondered how much extra Comp would be. Thanks, Peter.

I pay £150 and it allows me stay on my pile mooring for the whole year, £100 excess.
