The three current BBC forecasts for Wednesday are:

Portsmouth: Scattered showers and light winds
Coastal Waters (Solent): Up to F5 and Heavy Rain
Inshore Selsey to L Regis: F3/4 and showers

So they agree it won't snow.

The BBC is a broadcasting organisation. Go to the Met office website and get it from the horse's mouth.
Better still, do a little study on Meteorology, purchasing the excellent RYA Weather Manual, for instance, and learn to interpret Surface Pressure Charts to make your own forecasts.

Thank you. Yes I have heard of the Met Office and know that they do at least look out of the window and I did a year of met at University. But my post was not about the weather - it was about the BBC. How can they be so daft as to post three conflicting forecasts?

Are you sure they look out of the window? I've not noticed their local forecasts become any more accurate since they moved down this way to Exeter.
