Does anybody have any clues to the volume output, RPM, current consumption of the blower motors for the heaters? Looking for alternatives to >£400 for a failed motor. Could always have it re wound?
Cheers, Graeme. Apologies for the spelling checker

One possibility is to search on eBay for a cheap used heater to get the motor plus the rest for spares.
Most of my heaters are Eberspachers d2s and d4s and I find that failure rate of the motor is fairly rare at 10% so I can always source from a condemned one. Look for one with bad or broken exhaust or inlet ports as they should be cheap though the larger 5k heaters are more rare. It would be interesting to know if the motors are a standard motor incorporated into the design or 'specials' of some kind. Good luck!

Are you sure it has to be rewound? The general concept of the control virtually eliminates the possibility of the motor burning out. They normally die of worn brushes bearings or both. The biggest problem is taking these motors apart, you need special tools.
Buying an used one either alone or as a part of a broken down heater is always risky. It not THAT cheap and you have no idea how much brushes are left in there...
I would bin the whole thing and buy one one the Chink knockout available for less than the price of the Webasto motor. I have actually done it 3 years ago with 2 Eber heaters. Happy ever after :-)
