My burner is pretty coked up, and I could not find an exact replacement for the whole burner anywhere (see pic). Sure Marine told me they were NLA (no longer available). I pulled the mesh from mine in order to clean it and replace the mesh, but am not certain how the new mesh is secured - would these mesh be glued into the burner? There is no retaining clip. Also, what is best for cleaning the removed burner? Carb cleaner?

Any advice on this would be appreciated. I’d rather not toss a perfectly functional $1300 heater due to a coked piece of mesh. I found this mesh replacement kit: Webasto Thermo Top C E Z P EVO 3500/ST Burner Screen Mesh Pad + FELT + "C" CLIP | eBay

I have also read that running kerosene instead of diesel every now and then through the heater helps keep everything from coking up. Any experience there?

Thanks
