Got mi'self an airtop 2000 from the NEC for my MF805. Pretty sure I've worked out the most likely location for mounting the unit. I was wondering if any other MF805 owners had heating and if so, where have you mounted your heater ?

Inside the lazarette, right at the back on the transom bulkhead, this is the factory option. It works well because it is well protected from accidental knocks, but easy for installation and maintenance. I would use insulated ducting though.

The supplied fiberglass sock / come tights that goes over the exhaust is wholey inadequate ic comparison to the 3mm thick sheath that is supplied with Eberspacher heaters as well as an outer hose. So, as long as you take precautions with the exhaust you will be fine. (We have ordered outer hose from Eberspacher).

My 805 Espacher Heater is fitted in the aft storage locker attached to the engine compartment bulkhead within the locker - just above the shaft seal , hot air piping runs through the engine room to forward cabin and also to forward seat base.
If you need more PM me your email address and I will take a few pictures when I next go to the boat

Knew I'd get the answer nice and quick from you guys !!

Lazarette it is then. The other location I had was in the locker under the passenger helm position. Would have been a bit tight in there so I'm going to go with my instincts and your recommendations.

Is it worth ducting the air intake from back inside the cabin or just use the cool (but fresh) air from inside the laz ?

Our Webasto was vented from engine bay too (we've got a Benny 760). Works brilliantly. Spent a week onboard over Xmas on a trip up to Bray and it was so snug. The only problem was the fuel intake was slightly too short, so if we've got less than 1/4 tank of diesel the heating cuts out.

Hi.... just doing the same myself.... unit fitted back starboard side of laz.... interested to know if you got ducting down into for'cabin?????

yes it ends up with the ducting going right through the engine bay starboard side ending up in a vent located under the fore cabin steps (just under the forward engine inspection hatch) PM me if you need more info or a better description.
